This Privacy Policy applies to the Monicartist Healing Meditation mobile app and the Monicartist Studio website and related services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Monicartist Studio (Monica Maleck) (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used and shared, how it is protected and retained, and how users can access or delete their information.

Information We Collect

The information collected depends on the Services and features a user chooses to use.

Information users provide

Name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address
Account login, profile information and communication preferences
Purchase, membership, subscription and transaction information
Messages, enquiries, reviews, comments and other content submitted by users
Information users voluntarily post in groups, forums or community features

Information collected automatically

App interactions and engagement information, including meditation content viewed
Device type, operating system, app version, IP address and device or app identifiers
Diagnostic information, crash information, performance information and technical logs

Payment information is processed by the relevant payment provider. We do not directly store complete payment-card details.

We do not sell personal information.

App Services and Service Providers

The Monicartist Healing Meditation app is provided using Wix’s app, hosting, account and related technical services. Wix may process account, usage, device, diagnostic and technical information as needed to provide and secure those services.

Purchases made through Google Play are processed through Google Play’s payment services. Google processes payment and transaction information under its own privacy practices. We receive only the information necessary to confirm and administer a purchase or subscription and do not directly store complete payment-card information.

Where a feature uses analytics or diagnostics supplied through the app platform, those providers may process app activity, device, identifier, IP-address, crash and performance information to operate, secure and improve the app.

Website, Artwork Purchases and Payments

The Monicartist Studio website is hosted through Wix. Website purchases may be processed by the payment method selected at checkout, which may include Wix Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The selected provider processes payment information under its own privacy policy and security practices.

When artwork or another physical product is purchased, we use the purchaser’s contact and shipping information to fulfil the order, provide tracking, communicate about delivery and resolve delivery issues. Necessary information may be provided to payment processors, shipping carriers and fulfilment providers for those purposes.

Groups and Community Features

Information voluntarily posted in profiles, groups, forums, reviews, discussions or other community areas may be visible to other members or the public, depending on the feature and its settings. Users should not publish sensitive personal, medical, financial or confidential information in shared areas.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Services may use cookies, software development kits and similar technologies to:

Service providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services and subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Information transmitted between users and the Services is protected in transit using HTTPS or comparable modern encryption. Access to personal information is restricted to authorised people and service providers who require it for legitimate purposes.

No website, mobile app, transmission method or electronic storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

Account and profile information: retained while an account is active and deleted or anonymised after account deletion, subject to lawful retention requirements
App usage, diagnostic and engagement information: retained only as long as necessary to operate, analyse, secure and improve the app, then deleted or anonymised according to the service provider’s applicable retention cycle
Support communications: retained as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain service records, resolve disputes and protect legal interests
Marketing information: retained until the user unsubscribes or withdraws consent, or until it is no longer required
Purchase, transaction, taxation and accounting records: retained for up to seven years, or longer if required by law
Security and fraud-prevention records: retained as reasonably necessary to investigate incidents, prevent misuse, resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations
Public or community content: retained while published, until removed by the user, or until deleted following an eligible request

Some information may remain temporarily in secure backups until it is removed or overwritten through the normal backup-deletion cycle. Anonymous or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify a user may be retained indefinitely.

Account and Data Deletion

Users can request permanent deletion of their Monicartist Healing Meditation account and associated personal information in either of these ways:

In the app: open the account or profile settings and select Delete Account, then follow the displayed instructions.
Outside the app: visit the public Delete Your Monicartist Healing Meditation Account page on the Monicartist Studio website and submit the request using the provided email link or form.

Users may also contact contact@monicartiststudio.com from the email address associated with their account. We may request reasonable information to verify the identity of the requester and protect the account from unauthorised deletion.

Verified requests are generally completed within 30 days. Deletion permanently removes or anonymises the account and associated personal information from active systems, except information that must be retained for taxation, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution or another legal obligation. Retained information will not be used for unrelated purposes and will be deleted or anonymised when the applicable retention period ends.

Content that another user has independently copied or reshared may not be removed automatically. Users may contact us to request removal of eligible content controlled by Monicartist Studio.

Health and Wellness Information

Monicartist Healing Meditation provides meditation, relaxation, mindfulness and general wellness content. It is not a medical or healthcare service and does not diagnose, treat, prevent or monitor any medical or mental-health condition.

We do not collect, access or store health or fitness data, including medical records, diagnoses, symptoms, medications, treatment information, heart rate, sleep information, physical activity, body measurements, nutrition information, reproductive-health information, or information from Health Connect, Google Fit, wearable devices or other health applications.

We may collect general app-usage information, such as meditation content viewed and engagement with app features. We do not combine this information with health information or use meditation activity to diagnose a condition or infer a user’s health status.

Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information was collected without appropriate authorisation, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. A parent or guardian may contact us using the details below.

Privacy Rights and Choices

Subject to applicable law, users may ask to:

Access personal information held about them
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Delete their account or personal information
Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
Unsubscribe from promotional communications
Ask questions or make a complaint about how their information is handled

We may need to verify a requester’s identity before completing a request. Marketing emails can be stopped using the unsubscribe link in the message.
