Hello Sunshine
You’ve just stepped into a space created for dreamers, creators, and emotional exhalers. This is where art meets inner quiet, where emotion becomes colour, and where healing gets a soft place to land.
All about my healing meditation app
The Monicartist Healing Meditations App was born from a moment of transformation — when structure met breakdown, and breakdown quietly opened the door to bloom.
For years, Monica built her life in precision — completing a PhD in engineering, working in science, and striving toward achievements that once felt like armour. But after a toxic workplace environment pushed her nervous system into prolonged fight-or-flight, and the loss of her mother shook the foundations of safety beneath her feet, she returned to the practices that had always held her gently:

🌿 Creative calm
Meditation was not new to Monica. She has been practicing mindfulness and meditation for over a decade and holds certification in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Over the years, she has continued to deepen her practice through yoga, meditation and mindfulness training, including Yoga and Meditation Teacher Training with Santosha Healing Institute in Byron Bay.
Her understanding of these practices comes not only from formal training, but from years of using them in her own life. Meditation became something she could return to during periods of stress, anxiety, grief and emotional overwhelm — a way of slowing down, reconnecting with herself and finding some steadiness when life felt difficult.
Painting became her healing language, and meditation became her internal reset. Eventually, the two began to come together. The meditations in this app grew from that intersection of mindfulness, creativity and lived experience.
They were created not only to help people find moments of calm, but also to offer a sense of companionship during difficult times. Whether someone is experiencing anxiety, grief, sleeplessness, creative blocks or simply a period of uncertainty, Monica wanted the meditations to feel like a gentle presence — a reminder that whatever you are going through, you don't have to feel quite so alone in it.
She created this app to:
• help regulate anxiety, trauma responses, hormone sensitivity, and emotional overwhelm
• support the nervous system in returning to felt safety, trust, and openness
• reconnect users with their creative spirit through guided calm
• offer a growing library of dream-led meditations, breathwork, sleep support, and artist-awakening sessions
This app is not a shop — it is a streaming sanctuary of meditation videos and audio recordings inspired by Monica’s original artworks.
It is created for her artist community, collectors who are drawn to emotionally meaningful art, and anyone navigating anxiety, chronic stress, or nervous system overwhelm — and seeking a softer way back to themselves.
What are the meditations designed for?
The Monicartist Healing Meditations App was created for different moments in life — from wanting to reconnect with your creativity to simply needing something gentle to listen to when life feels difficult.
Creativity, artists & creative blocks
A collection of meditations created especially for artists and creative people. These sessions are designed to help quiet mental noise, move through creative blocks, reconnect with inspiration and approach art from a more present, intuitive place. They include meditations for creative healing, self-expression, creative reawakening, emotional renewal through creativity, and self-love and creative growth.
Anxiety, panic & feeling overwhelmed
When anxiety becomes intense, sometimes what you need first is somewhere to place your attention and a calm voice to stay with. The app includes supportive meditations for anxiety and panic, as well as a dedicated meditation for flight anxiety. These practices use mindfulness, breathing and grounding to help you settle into the present moment.
Self-love, kindness & emotional wellbeing
Not every meditation needs to be used because something is wrong. Some are simply practices in looking after yourself. Loving-kindness, self-love and nurturing meditations encourage a gentler relationship with yourself and create space for rest, reflection and emotional renewal.
Grief & difficult periods of life
Grief can feel extraordinarily lonely. The grief meditation isn't intended to take grief away. It was created to offer companionship within it — a quiet place to feel what you're feeling without having to push it away or pretend you're okay.
There is also a supportive meditation for periods of identity crisis, when you may feel disconnected from who you are or uncertain about where your life is going. Sometimes hearing a compassionate voice in those moments can make the experience feel a little less lonely.
Sleep support
The sleep meditation can be used when you're having difficulty falling asleep or when you wake during the night and can't settle again. Rather than trying to force sleep, the practice helps the body and mind gradually move toward rest.
Stress reduction & mindfulness
For people who want something more structured, the app includes an eight-week meditation series inspired by Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). The program encourages a regular mindfulness practice over time, helping you become more aware of thoughts, emotions and physical sensations while developing a calmer way of responding to stress.
Migraine tension & physical relaxation
There is also a meditation specifically created for people experiencing migraine tension, using relaxation and mindful awareness to help release some of the physical tension that can accompany a migraine. It is intended as supportive care alongside, rather than a replacement for, appropriate medical treatment.
You don't have to know which meditation you need before you begin. Open the app, notice what you're experiencing today, and choose the support that meets you there.
